Almost OK Forever: Shinya Azuma・Scott Reeder

COHJU is pleased to present "Almost OK Forever", a duo exhibition by Shinya Azuma and Scott Reeder from November 13 to December 13, 2025.

A show born from a loose dialogue between Scott Reeder and Shinya Azuma —
two artists who seem a bit alike, but are really nothing alike.
Bright colors, light lines, humor, and cynicism.
Both approach the world with a cool, detached eye, painting the almost-trivial with full sincerity.

For this exhibition, Reeder presents new paintings and ceramics,
while Azuma unveils his first-ever ceramic works and drawings.
The textures of paint, clay, and line quietly interact, tracing a subtle rhythm between the two artists.

It’s not perfect, but it’s alright.
“Almost OK Forever” — that halfway space between irony and honesty —
is exactly where their works meet.
